Day 2: Your Lieutenant, When There’s Reckoning to be Reckoned

Contrary to popular belief, I do know some people in real life other than my relatives.

If I fucks with you, I care about you. Period. I’m too grown for emotional games with people.

There are friends that have been there for me since grade school. We don’t see each other often, but I can drop a text on them anytime I want.

My bestie, Ashley, and I have been through it. We lived down the street from each other until her house burned up. Then, she lived with me for a while so she didn’t have to switch high schools. I was an ass when I got serious about a guy that was horrible for me and she didn’t cut me off when he broke my heart. She was my maid of honor at my wedding and I get the same job at hers. Anytime there was a crime to be committed, she was right there with me. While I tend to avoid confrontation, she’s a froggy kind of bitch. I’ve never had to bail her out, but I know I’m on the call list.

The point is, everyone should be so lucky to have someone like that in your life. Someone who has your back no matter what. That kind of friendship is magikal and amazing. Let me go call that bitch now.
